For the last 5 or so years, I, like many others in the helping professions have been inundated with the fascinating  research on psychedelic assisted therapies. Although the use of plant medicines have been used for spiritual, emotional, and physical  in indigenous cultures for thousands of years, it's only been in the last 60 years that the have we begun to understand their potential from a scientific lens. Unfortunately most of that research came to a halt in the 1970's when the so-called 'war on drugs' was gathering steam in the United States.
